This sunny, happy girl lit up the moment we met her. She has Moyamoya Syndrome, which is a rare, progressive cerebrovascular disorder caused by blocked arteries at the base of the brain in an area called the basal ganglia. In addition to living with Moyamoya, she is also showing signs of Lupus. In infancy, she began having difficulty walking and holding up her head. She uses a wheelchair to get around, and has developmental delays, operating at around a 7 or 8 year old level). She has frequent respiratory tract infections, and requires a medical aide to assist with her care. She likes to lay with her stuffed animals, watch Disney movies (especially Beauty and the Beast), and enjoys getting out and about with her family as she is a very social girl and likes to meet new people, and see new places. We know she’s going to have the most awesome place possible in which to watch all the movies she wants after her brand new bedroom makeover is complete!
