2009 Volunteer of the Year - Doug Bagnall

 

The Rainbow Society of Alberta is proud to announce our Volunteer of the Year for 2009 - Doug Bagnall.

In rain and hail and sleet and mostly snow (even with a broken heel), you can't keep our teddy bear man away!

Doug has ordered, cared for, stored and hauled teddy bears for our annual Teddy Bear Toss for over 10 years. There were only 300 bears in the first year, by year 10 that number has grown to over 5500 bears!

Not only has he done all of this with a smile on his face, he has involved his lovely family and wife, Sue Bagnall.

Words cannot describe the gratitude he have for Doug. From October to December Doug is on call and ready to bring the bears out of hibernation to their new homes.

To Doug and all the Bagnalls; thank you for always being there for The Rainbow Society of Alberta. You are a loyal supporter and a wonderful friend.
