Our Volunteers

The Rainbow Society of Alberta has a valued network of volunteers throughout the Province without whom we would surely be lost. In 2008 alone, volunteers gave us over 3000 hours of their valuable time. Most of this time came from attending events on our behalf, or just helping out when needed. There's never a shortage of things to do in the wish-granting business!

Volunteers are encouraged to become members of the organization, particularly if they wish to serve on the Board or on a working committee. Annual memberships are available for just $10 which includes:

• membership card
• vote at Annual General Meeting
• quarterly newsletter
• lapel pin

Although volunteers may not always become directly involved with a family, the child or the actual wish, they provide an invaluable service in assisting with the logistics of making a wish come true.
