Our Volunteers

The Rainbow Society of Alberta has a valued network of volunteers throughout the Province without whom we would surely be lost. In 2009 alone, volunteers gave us over 3000 hours of their valuable time. Most of this time came from attending events on our behalf, or just helping out when needed. There's never a shortage of things to do in the wish-granting business!

Active Rainbow Society of Alberta volunteers are also considered members.  As we recognize that all non-profit organizations need a foundation from which to operate and grow, we see our members as valuable stakeholders in The Rainbow Society of Alberta.  Members have the right to vote at the Annual General Meeting and can offer guidance on the volunteer Board of Directors.

Although volunteers may not always become directly involved with a family, the child or the actual wish, they provide an invaluable service in assisting with the logistics of making a wish come true.
